Sunday and sunny and cold

today in Montreal it is cold and sunny,

saturday I went to a mini workshop put on by our guild, we knit mitts for a daycare and school in a poverty district, i had knit 3 pair and took them so I knit on my socks, pe9members attended . I am now knitting a pair of mitts for my self, they are in a dark grey  100% cashmere than my friend gave me for my birthday in 2007.  they are knit on 2 needles with the cuff knit seperately and sewn on after,  i will have to try and get the pictures up,  some one has to show me.

Baby Shower

Sat night we had a baby shower for my granddaughter, she received so many nice things but not one knitted item, one lady wove a beautiful shawl  for her, I am ashamed i did not knit something, but will knit later.  there was about 45 people there and men came about seven for supper.  we had so much food, all very good, and we had the god mothers help open the gifts,  and we played games,  i think every one enjoyed themselves.

I am now knitting mitts for a school that has kids that need mitts to keep them warm

on sat we have a work shop for the montreal guild members and will bring them there.

i have finished my  ruffled rose scarf  it turned out very nice

Happy New Year

well our new year started as it the old one ended,  my grand daughter abd her boyfriend were in a car accident, she broke her arm (the same one she broke before)  and had her banged up  with thew air bag and alex had a sore neck,  plus they totaled my sons car and Doreen closed her store which  all the boxes are in her house you cant move , so we moved the baby shower to a hall.

one good thing baby Aiden is growing and is doing well.  i finished one pr of socks and have my ruffled rose scarf almost finished.

then i want to start a vest for me .

My friend Kay and I went to visit ours friends  Pat and Debbie , for a few days, while there we took a bus trip to Toronto to Needle work show, I was really disappointed i  it this year, not many yarn  vendors, a lot beads and scarpbooking.but was a nice day , while there we also met a friend , Ruth which we hadn’t seen for a long time,  Our time in Kingston was very nice, we did some shopping and a lot knitting.  this week end I am going to Fiona Ellis workshop on cables,   really excited about that .
